CUSTOM TEXAS • RANCH MANAGEMENT

Executive
Ranch Management

Hands-on leadership for complex ranch operations. Responsible oversight of cattle, wildlife, land, infrastructure, equipment, personnel, and guest readiness.

Managing the
Whole Ranch

A successful ranch depends on every part of the operation working together. Livestock, wildlife, water, fencing, roads, equipment, habitat, personnel, and guest operations all affect the property’s performance.

My approach is to see the whole ranch, establish priorities, prevent small problems from becoming expensive ones, and keep daily work aligned with the owner’s long-term objectives. That requires hands-on field leadership, dependable reporting, and consistent follow-through.

Core Ranch Responsibilities

CATTLE &
LIVESTOCK

Cow-calf operations, herd health, nutrition, low-stress handling, grazing, and production planning.

WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT

Whitetail and exotic wildlife management, habitat improvement, population monitoring, feeders, cameras, predator control, and hunt support.

 LAND &
GRAZING

Pasture assessment, rotational grazing, forage planning, brush management, and long-term land stewardship.

 WATER &
INFRASTRUCTURE

Water systems, fencing, roads, gates, buildings, feeders, and preventive maintenance.

EQUIPMENT & OPERATIONS

Tractors, skid steers, dozers, excavators, UTVs, hay equipment, and maintenance planning.

LEADERSHIP & STAFF

Clear priorities, staff and contractor supervision, safety, budgeting, owner communication, and dependable reporting.

From Owner Objectives to Daily Operations

My responsibility is to understand what ownership wants the ranch to become. From there, I translate those objectives into clear priorities, daily operations and long-term strategies.

That means managing budgets, schedules, preventive maintenance, livestock and wildlife decisions, infrastructure projects, personnel, vendors, and contractors—while measuring progress, reporting clearly, and adjusting as conditions change.

The goal is simple: protect the owner's investment and move the ranch forward every day.

Owner objectives set the direction.
Leadership turns them into results.

How I Lead

OBSERVE

Start with conditions on the ground. Listen, inspect, and understand before taking action.

PRIORITIZE

Identify what matters most to the livestock, wildlife, people, property, and owner.

EXECUTE

Build a clear plan, assign responsibility, and follow the work through to completion.

REPORT

Keep ownership informed through concise updates, accurate records, and practical recommendations.

Experience Across the
Entire Operation

My experience includes hands-on responsibility for a 1,500-acre South Texas cattle and wildlife operation; management of a 6,000-acre high-fence cattle, wildlife, and hunting property; supervision of more than 10 employees, guides, and contractors; and Wyoming Wagyu cow-calf work.

Across these operations, I have managed livestock health, wildlife programs, grazing and forage, water systems, fencing, roads, heavy equipment, preventive maintenance, vendors, guest readiness, and owner reporting. The setting may change, but the responsibility remains the same: protect the property, support the people, and keep the operation moving forward.

A PHILOSOPHY OF STEWARDSHIP

Manage Today With

Tomorrow in Mind.

Good ranch management protects what has been built while steadily improving what comes next. Every decision involving livestock, wildlife, land, water, infrastructure, equipment, people, and budgets should meet today’s needs without sacrificing tomorrow’s opportunities.
